2021 small forward Keon Edwards will be playing his college basketball at Depaul. Edwards is a long, 6’8″, skilled wing that can put the ball on the floor as well as being able to step out and knock down jumpers. He has a strong all around game that should allow him to make an immediate impact at the college level. As a defender he can guard multiple positions, something that should fit in well with the Depaul system although he can struggle with quick guards at times. His athleticism is solid, and he can be effective in the open court, he will just need to continue to improve his outside shoot to fully reach his potential.
Edwards is ranked #56 Rivals, #43 by 247 Sports, and #32 by ESPN. He chose Depaul over TCU, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and Florida State, among others. This is another solid addition to the 2021 class for Depaul, which is shaping up to be a good one for the program. Competing on the UAA Circuit he averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
