Kansas sophomore point guard Devon Dotson was out of the Jayhawks lineup for their game against Oklahoma due to a hip pointer, according to a statement from the school. Dotson injured his hip in the teams game against Baylor, which Kansas lost 67-55. There is no word on how much longer he could be out, however this is not expected to keep him off of the floor on a long term basis.
Dotson is one of the top point guards in the country and considered a potential 2020 first round pick, and he likely would have been drafted had he decided to remain in the draft last season. His blend of speed and play making ability leads to a very tough to handle for opposing defenses whether he is looking to score the ball or set up a teammate. On the season he is averaging 18 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 34.5 minutes per game.
