Seton Hall senior guard Myles Powell will “Not be back anytime soon” according to coach Kevin Willard. Powell suffered a concussion last week against Rutgers and the team is taking their time with his return to the floor. At this point the school is only saying that they are being cautious and to not expect him back in the near future, but it is not an injury that should effect his ability to play later in the year. Powell is averaging 21.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 27.5 minutes per game this season.
Assuming that the Pirates do get the senior back at some point this season they are a team that could make some noise should they make it to the postseason, but without their star guard that would be a tall task. Waiting for him to get back to 100% not only makes sense from a safety standpoint but also given the up tempo style where Powell is most effective. We currently have the guard going #51 overall in our 2020 mock draft.
