Kentucky graduate transfer Nate Sestina suffered a fractured wrist on Tuesday in practice. Kentucky has been dealing with injury issues early in the season and the team was looking forward to being at full health before losing a big piece of the group. Sestina came to Lexington after three seasons with Bucknell where he was a threat to score from both inside and outside of the paint.
His versatility gives the Wildcats a different look especially when they decide to go small with Sestina at the center position. Despite the skill set his numbers this season shooting the ball from the outside have been less than stellar and he is still getting comfortable with the change. His return will be a big boost to the team and they will need to have Sestina fully healthy to reach their potential as a unit. In his first year at Kentucky he is averaging 7.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game.
