Virginia senior Braxton Key is out indefinitely after undergoing wrist surgery. Although Key has struggled shooting the ball from the outside this season he is the second leader scoring for the team and he is one of the biggest offensive weapons the Cavaliers have on the roster. No timetable has been announced for his return, assuming that is this season he still should be a vital piece of the team lat in the season.
In his absence the Cavaliers will be starting Jay Huff who can fill the void but it will hurt Virginia depth wise until he is able to return. Key is averaging 10.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game after becoming more of a focal this year. Coming into the year he was seen as a legitimate draft prospect but with this injury and his struggling to shoot the ball his overall stock could take a hit in the minds of some teams.
