2020 points guard Shakeel Moore committed to NC State adding some depth to the 2020 recruiting class for the Wolf Pack. At 6’1″ he does not have great size but he knows how to score the ball at a high rate despite not having the length of many other players. His outside shot is solid and he is able to create a shot off of the dribble as well as knock them down in catch and shoot situations. He can slash to the basket very well being able to use his quickness and speed to an advantage which also is the case on the fast break. The biggest question mark in his game at this point is how well he will be able to defend at the next level with more size at the guard position. With that said up to this point he has defended well getting steals with ease so he may just have a knack for creating turnovers and locking down players on the perimeter. His athleticism is most likely the strongest aspect of his game with the aforementioned speed and quickness, but he also is an elite vertical athlete that gives him a unique skill set at just over six feet in height.
Moore is an unranked three star by Rivals and 247 Sports has him at #185 in the class of 2020. Playing for Team CP3 out of North Carolina he averaged 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 25.6 minutes per game. He is the fourth commitment for the Wolf Pack and the second guard giving them more depth on wing going forward. His scoring abilities could earn him early playing time and he has proven that given the opportunity he make an impact both scoring the ball as well as turning opponents over on the defensive end of the floor.
