2020 five star forward Isaiah Jackson has committed to play his college basketball at Kentucky. Jackson joins an already top level recruiting class bringing a package of physical tools to go with a strong skill set. On the physical side of things he is a long and athletic 6’9″ combo forward that can make plays on the wing as well as score inside using his vertical leaping abilities. His agility and mobility for his size are what NBA teams look for in a versatile wing, and he should be able to find a role as a do it all type of forward in college. His outside shot and his shot in general need to improve if he is going to make an impact on the wing, while his ability to guard multiple positions and block shots give him a high ceiling on the defensive end of the floor. He will bring excitement to the fans with highlight dunks and he plays with a high motor that he will need as he continues to improve his other skills.
Jackson is ranked #24 by Rivals, #32 by 247 Sports, and #22 on ESPN. He was down to Syracuse, Kentucky, and Alabama with offers from just about every other power conference school in the country. This takes the Wildcats recruiting class to the next level and with the reclassification of Devin Askew they now have what will be considered by most to be the top class in 2020. Competing for The Family out of Michigan on the AAU circuit, Jackson averaged 10.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks in 20.7 minutes per game.
