NBA Rookie Rankings: Week 1

Ranking the top players in the Rookie of the Year race after the first week of the NBA season

The Rookie of the Year race was considered Zion Williamson’s award to lose by most analysts, but since he is expected to miss significant time with a knee injury this would no longer seem to be the case. At the conclusion of each week during the NBA season we will take a look and re-evaluate the performances of the 2019 rookie class. The rankings are based off of the performance by each player during the season as if the Rookie of the Year award was being given today, not what we consider their overall career potential.
