Highlighting the latest news in college basketball and around the NBA draft

North Carolina picked up a commitment from graduate transfer Christian Keeling. As a guard who can score efficiently, this seems to finalize their back court after talking to Rayjon Tucker as well. Keeling averaged 18.7 points and 6.9 rebounds at Charleston Southern as a 6’4″ combo guard.

Tristen Newton committed to East Carolina, giving the Pirates their 10th commitment in the class of 2019. A 6’5″ point guard, he has good size and can score at a high level averaging 37.4 points and 9.2 rebounds as a senior. His athleticism is solid being able to finish at the rim, and he could be a steal for ECU going forward.

Nebraska secured a commitment from Matej Kavas. A 6’8″ forward who was previous at Seattle, he shoots it with great efficiency, with his most recent season going 45.8% on three point attempts. As a graduate transfer he will be eligible to play immediately after averaging 15.2 points as a sophomore and 10.1 points as a junior.

New Mexico sophomore Vance Jackson has decided to return to school next season after receiving feedback when he submitted his name for the draft. A 6’9″ versatile forward, he averaged 13.1 points and 7 rebounds while shooting it at 33.1% on three pointers. There was never much of a chance he was not coming back to school, but receiving word this early should be good news for New Mexico fans.
